SILVANUS Dashboard
The SILVANUS dashboard is a web-based interface designed to provide actionable information, enabling users to quickly understand the situation in the field and make informed decisions. The interface is primarily intended for trained personnel such as firefighters, analysts and public administration representatives, supporting integrated fire management. It combines preventive and fire-fighting strategies, taking into account social, economic, cultural and ecological analyses. The goal is to minimize losses from fires and maximize the benefits of fire management. The dashboard covers the four stages of crisis management: mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.
To use the Dashboard, users must complete training from a specialist and demonstrate knowledge of fire-related issues, including forest fires, legislation and the operation of fire brigades in the service area. The main principles of the platform are transparency, intuitiveness and adaptation to the needs of future users.
The SILVANUS dashboard displays a map with several layers representing the work of different User Products. Depending on the data collected, layers are divided into those displayed in the form of pins: Unmanned Ground Vehicle, Smoke/Fire Detection (IoT), Social Media Fire Events, Mobile App Fire Events, Health Impact Assessment, Fire Detection at the edge, and those that represent a certain area: Fire Danger Index, Evacuation Route Planning, Fire Spread Simulation, Multilingual Forest Fire Alert, Priority Resource Allocation. All layers can be enabled simultaneously and each separately.
The dashboard is continually improved based on ongoing testing and feedback from real fire protection communities. Improvements include both new functionalities and changes in design, usability and user experience. The dashboard is being prepared for upcoming pilots, and the modifications made are based on learnings from previous pilot tests.
