Ecological Resilience Index (DSS-PRA)
Ecological Resilience Index (DSS-PRA)
UP9d Ecological Resilience Index (DSS-PRA) is a user product for analyzing the capacity of a forest to absorb disturbance and recover to its equilibrium condition.
The user product has the following features that:
- Analyse the ecological resilience (disturbance magnitude, recovery magnitude elasticity/recovery speed, and malleability)
- Calculate the disturbance magnitude. The disturbance magnitude employs the state of condition changes in the affected area after the disturbance.
- Calculate the recovery magnitude. The recovery magnitude identifies a specific duration to return to its initial state before a fire event occurs.
- Calculate the elasticity/recovery speed. The elasticity/recovery speed indicates the recovery rate after experiencing disturbance.
- Calculate the malleability. The malleability reflects the extent of deviation from the initial state after a fire event.
- Receive input for fire incidents, rehabilitation programs, policy and soil measurement, and store data of forest fire-related variables.
- Transforming the satellite image into the required index (NDVI, FCD, NBR)
- Store societal-related data in a spatial-temporal manner.
- Overlay the spatial-temporal data on the base map.
